In terms of themes;” A” is a still experience, where “B” is rather dynamic one.
“A” reached this calm/stable bodily experience by composing both elements and a part of the design, in this case it’s a wall. Natural elements divided by this design part. Composition structured with a strong figure and ground relation with a wall opening between far elements with centered linear part and near vertical element. This vertical element also creates a center for enclosed rectangular space. Absence of repetition, variation of parts/elements keeps the calm rhythm.
“B” on the other is offering a more regulated experience within an enclosed space. Homogeneous repetition of units creates a complex surface at top of this space. It’s balanced by simple/plain bottom surface. This repetition and contrast create a dynamic user experience. Hanging parts between top and bottom surface also follows the grid but in and unordered manner. This inhomogeneous repetition creates a dynamic transition between top’s dense proportional cluster and simple bottom.
