In “A”, vertical grid introduces a right dominant member balanced by many repetitive elements on the left portion. Proportions and number of elements on left keeps the balance of whole composition. Dense patterns on parts for both sides keep composition dynamic. Horizontal grids are also introduced in composition, but they are not as dominant as vertical in organizational manner. Tree figure at the top side of horizontal grid also create and counter balance the bottom left side repetitive parts.
“B”, in terms of hierarchy, is similar with “A”, except that the grid orientation is oblique. Right side mountain figure is dominant in organizational manner. Vertical linear snow accumulation at top creates a contrast with the horizontal linear alignment of cloud cluster on top left portion of composition, which adds to counter-balance of composition. Simplicity of right and complexity of left is also contributing to stability of composition, but the simplicity of dominant figure regulates the rhythmic organization rather as a less dynamic composition when compared to dynamic “A”.
